Pumpkin Games has made Alien Abduction freeware. You can find a complete listing of Danlab games over here. I’ll admit that I found a few of the holes too hard to complete, but for the most part the 90 holes set on tropical islands are all good fun. We can heartily recommend Islands Mini Golf, which costs $25.50. Fly through outer space in your rocket ship, blasting asteroids and collecting crystals.Īll four of these games are a lot of fun on their own, but no doubt they will whet your appetite for a fuller gaming experience. The last of the four is Argonaut, which is a nicely modernized rendering of the classic Asteroid game. You’re dealt a hand and you can make changes in the hopes of getting two Jacks or better to win your bet. Number three is Poker Solitarus-a great game if you enjoy placing bets. Imaginative cartoon-like drawings on the cards add to the fun.
One of the nice touches is that when the cards are placed, they are a bit askew as they would be in real life. Next up was Solitarus, a card game similar to Klondike. Jump the marbles to remove them and-to win-clear the board. There are no instructions, but within five seconds you’ll have it figured out. As usual, the first thing we noticed was the wonderful graphics.
They all make use of beautiful graphics, and the game play can be quite engaging-although, obviously, not as extensive as in the shareware games. We were surprised, though, to discover that four freeware games are also on offer.
Not surprisingly, Danlab has other shareware offerings such as Jammin’ Racer, which are also well done. The graphics are particularly impressive, and the game play is a lot of fun. We’ve long enjoyed playing the shareware game Island Mini Golf from Danlab.
